Notice of Complete Application and Public Meeting

Zoning By-law Amendment

Council, at its April 26th, 2016 meeting, will consider a Zoning By-law Amendment. The purpose of the proposed by-law is to amend the Restricted Area (Zoning) By-Law No. 2014-25 as amended to lands located in Part Lot 10, Concession 8.  The proposed amendment would rezone the subject land to an Agricultural (A-2) Exception Zone to permit the construction of an accessory secondary dwelling unit. For the full notice please see at the bottom of this page.


 
The Planning Department deals with the following situations:
  • Consents/Severance applications 
  • Minor Variances 
  • Lakeshore Road Allowance 
  • Zoning By-law Amendments
  • Official Plan Policies
For a copy of the Consent (Severance) Application, click on the 'Application for Consent' and 'MDS I Sheet' links at the bottom of this page.  The other application forms are available at the office for now.  Please call the Clerk-Treasurer at (705)724-3526 if you require further information about the planning process.
** The Township now has a policy requiring a pre-consultation interview for the following: Official Plan Amendment; Zoning By-law Amendment; Minor Variance or Permission; as well as Consent to Sever land/Lots/Rights of Way.  Please refer to the "Development Application Pre-Consultation Checklist" at the bottom of this page.

Following several meetings with our Planner, as well two Open House Public Meetings to obtain feedback from our residents, a Final  Draft Official Plan was adopted by Council at their March 13th, 2012 meeting.  The Plan has also received approval from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.  Please refer to  'Approval and Notice of Decision' at the bottom of this page for more information. A copy of the approved Official Plan can be found at the bottom of this page as well as approved Schedules A, B, and C.  ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
 As a result of adopting a new Official Plan, Council also adopted a new Zoning By-law to implement the policies of the Plan. A copy of the By-law as well as ZB Schedules A to C are included in the document section of this page.
